The choice for most homeowners is carport versus full garage. A carport — open-sided, roof supported on posts — protects vehicles from sun and rain at a lower cost and shorter build time; a full garage adds walls and a door for security and complete weather protection, at the cost of more construction and, usually, a permit. Both get built in steel, aluminum, or sandwich panel, and the right material depends more on budget and how much protection you actually need than on looks — steel is the most robust and least expensive per square metre, aluminum gives a cleaner modern finish with less maintenance, and sandwich panel adds insulation if the space will double as anything other than parking.

Sizing is straightforward — we design from a single-car shade through multi-car setups, and for a full garage we include the door, electrical work, and lighting so it's finished and usable on handover rather than a bare shell you still need to fit out separately. We also design the structure's finish and colour to match your home rather than looking like an obvious add-on, which is a common complaint we hear about garages built by contractors who weren't shown the rest of the property first.

If your property doesn't currently have a garage or carport at all, we can still add one — the main constraint is available space and setback rules, which we check during the site visit before quoting.
